Leigh M. Korthals, age 74, a life-long Janesville/ Beloit area resident passed away at his home on October 9, 2017. He was born in Janesville on March 29, 1943, the son of Gustave and Ester (Behling) Korthals. Leigh graduated from Janesville High School and was a U. S. Army veteran. He was employed by General Motors for over 30 years retiring from the paint department. He was a member of First Lutheran Church , Janesville and U. A. W. Local # 95. Leigh was an avid 1930’s Model A collector and was a member of the Rockford and Madison Model A Clubs.

There are no immediate survivors. He was preceded in death by his father, Gustave in 1993 and his mother, Ester in 1999.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Janesville where Leigh will be buried near his parents. Rev. James Johnson will officiate.  Military rites will be conducted by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621. Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, Janesville is assisting with the arrangements.
